Hello everyone, it has been a crisp cool weekend and my weekend was awesome!! I was strong to jump into mom & dads bed and sleep with them last night. Today is even better, I feel like my old self. My mom has been covering me up in A&D ointment to keep my skin soft and non itchy with a really soft t-shirt on and I really don’t even notice my stitches. I met my mom at the front door like I always had with one of my new toys and I couldn’t stop wagging my tail.
I feel awesome and so far have not had any pain medication today. I feel proud to be a Tripawd because I feel so much better and out of pain. Hope everyone had a great weekend too.

A&D is actually used for babies that have bad diaper rash. I bought a huge tub at Walgreens and figure it was safe for babies, it would help Ray and it does. It is amazing because it just doesn’t absorb so fast that his skin stays moist. You do have to be prepared because everywhere he lays, he leaves a smug of the ointment but I figure my house is just a big dog house, so it’s not a big deal.

My recovery isn’t coming along as good as I hoped, today it’s gonna be 4 weeks, and I’m not up too much. Hope it gets better though.
Are you still on pain meds? How are your back legs coping? Please let me know… maybe your experience helps me!

I am so sorry to hear you are not feeling so good. There are many days, I am very depressed and don’t want to do too much. So I do a lot of laying around. I am not on the pain medication anymore, it just made me too loopy and I just did not feel very good. Right now I am still wearing a t-shirt and have a lot of A and D ointment to keep me from itching so much. I am hoping that this coming Monday when I get my stiches removed, I will feel better. My back legs do shake a lot, but I am learning to balance myself. My mom & Dad use the Ruff Wear Harness when I need extra support, which helps me with my back legs. I was told by Moose, that our other legs will become much larger with muscle. It seems like such a long process, but with all of the LOVE you are getting and just taking it easy day by day will help you feel better. You are looking good !!!!!!
